I am a beginner in stocks and want to do online stock trading. I would like to invest and buy shares from small companies/ buy stocks before they come to market. How can i see the list of these stocks and what site/program is best to do this for a beginner?
I am based in London, UK. i need a website which allows me to trade in NYSE, NASDAQ, LSE (London Stock Exchance), indian and other asian markets online through a website with minimum amount of money like 200 pound sterling etc.
It should also be cheap i.e no or minimum commission or a fixed fee for unlimited trades.

I am in school with a part time job and I am wanting to get into buying stocks. I am not sure if I should go with a broker or online.

I am currently in the US. So I need an account that can be opened and operated from the US .

I signed up with e-trade and have been enjoying the service but I must say- once my free trades have disappeared I doubt I will be doing much trading!
What other companies out there are offering free trades? Can two people at the same address sign up to e-trade?

I know this sounds like a very easy question to answer myself but I have tried many different search engines and words in those engines but i can not seem to find an actual list of companies for these markets like the Heng Sang and others.
I appreciate it. Thank you.
What are the websites available where online trading (stocks) can be done? I know scottrade and they charge $7, and ShareBuilder charges $4. Which one of these two are better, based on the tools they provide? Also are there any other sites available for cheaper price per transaction or better service? Thanks in advance!!

I am currently interested in purchasing about 150 stocks of Washington Mutual. (Ticker Symbol: WM) I know most people out there would not think Washington Mutual would be a good company, but I think there is potential and if I wasn’t willing to take risk, I would invest in government bonds.
I have a pretty good understanding on the stock market, etc., but the confusing thing is who should I trade through? I’ve seen ads to trade with Scottrade, Sharebuilder, Etrade, etc; all offering different incentives and options. I just want to make sure I dont chose a sucker company.
What are some good companies to use out there to trade stock? Do they charge a monthly fee? What about transaction fees? What company would you use and why? I am looking to hold on to my shares for at least 6 months.
Thank you very much for any help you can give me.
